Farm Holidays in Veneto
Verona is the city where Shakespeare set the story of “Romeo and Juliet”, known for its roman Arena where great lyrical shows take place, in addition to its buildings and churches. Padua is home to the Basilica of S. Antonio decorated by precious bronze works by Donatello. Vicenza is an architectural jewel, where Andrea Palladio worked on constructing villas in the Venetian countryside. Then there is Treviso, Belluno and Rovigo. The Venetian countryside is worth framing, with its rich and varied agriculture: breeding and crops on level ground, olive groves in the hills (extra virgin olive oil DOP Veneto Colli Euganei, Monti Berici, and Altopiano del Grappa), and vineyards (some of the most important DOC and DOCG Italian wines are produced here). In addition to oil and prosciutto, there are many other DOP and IGP products: rice, cured meats, cheeses, fruits, vegetables and chestnuts. In Veneto, lovers of eco-tourism can enjoy the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park and various Regional Parks.
